Common questions about flying with a baby

How old does a baby have to be to fly?
Most airlines allow babies from 7 days old. Pediatricians recommend waiting at least 2–3 months. FlyNils takes your baby’s age into account and adjusts the plan accordingly.
What can I bring in my carry-on with a baby?
Baby food, breast milk, and medication are exempt from the 100ml liquid rule. Diapers, spare clothes, and snacks are also allowed. FlyNils creates a personalized packing list based on flight duration and age.
How do I help my baby with ear pressure?
Breastfeeding, a bottle, or a pacifier during takeoff and landing helps most. Swallowing opens the Eustachian tube and equalizes pressure. FlyNils reminds you before takeoff and landing.
Does my baby need their own seat?
Children under 2 can sit on a parent’s lap on most airlines (with a loop belt). A separate seat with an infant car seat is safer but more expensive. FlyNils helps you with this decision in the setup wizard.
How much does FlyNils cost?
The first trip is completely free — all features, no restrictions. After that, it’s a one-time payment of €6.99 for all future trips. No subscription, no hidden costs.
